Women are very good at hiding behind a smile, even when there is pain at work or at home. Women often go into denial about how stressed they are, and just keep pressing on trying to make the rest of the world happy. Most women do not want their close friends to know ‘everything’ because they feel embarrassed and a little out of control and just want to display a persona that is ‘altogether’ organised and in control. Women simply don’t accept help until it gets to a point of frustration, Why? Because Women feel they have the power to cope with everything or ‘I can do a better job’ Truth is as much as we can, we do so often at the detriment to our health, wellbeing, our values, quality time with family/friends and our mental and emotional stability, resulting in frustration, worry, sleepless nights, and other stress related symptoms.
